Gallipoli, Turkey: Lone Pine trench after the fight, showing Australian and Turkish dead on the parapet.  In the foreground is Captain Morshead, 2nd Battalion, and on his right (standing, centre) is Private J.B. Bryant of Stawell, Victoria.
The battle started at 5:30 pm on August 6 and lasted for 72 hours, ending at nightfall on August 9.  I assume that the photo above was taken August 10, 1915.
